The legend says that to successfully build a great cathedral, after seven unsuccessful attempts, Manole and his 9 great constructors, sacrifice his pregnant wife, burying her alive into the cathedral wall. While finishing the construction they found themselves stranded on the high roof and try to escape using wax made wings. Manole dies in this attempt sacrificing himself and his loved ones to a greater purpose.
In my design I focused on recreating the claustrophobe feeling of wall burying while incorporating all the elements of the legend and presenting all of them in a modern interpretation.
